October Tip: When using fusible web for applique, here is a tip for removing the protective paper from the web quickly. When you are ready to fuse a piece, remove the protective paper by folding a corner toward the paper and finger pressing it. The paper wants to stay folded, but the fabric wants to unfold. After a second, the fabric will pull away from the paper and you have an edge to hold on to as you peel it away!
